It's been known to happen. I don't think there's much sleuthing that's needed—look at his face! Google has a lot more comparison photos to see how remarkably he resembles his father.

I would have bet Davis’ adopted child was his biological son so I know looks can be misleading. And Ronan is scary smart just like Woody is scary smart.

But he owes his intelligence to Woody and Mia. At least that part of it that is inherited, and maybe that which is learned to some extent also. One thing you can say about Woody Allen, he is a heck of a lot smarter than Frank Sinatra. Brilliant in fact.
