(37,648 posts)Would a skit about a white guy with a fro on work...trying to pass as a black woman, sitting at a meeting of black women saying stereotypical black female things, etc.? Because that's what this skit was.
I wasn't offended by it, but it did cross my mind what it would be like, if it were reversed. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
But it was funny...people actually believing he's a white soccer-mom type, when he's clearly a big Af. American male with a bad wig on. He was funny.

(45,447 posts)White women still have power over minority males. So a minority male making fun of white women on a comedy show isn't "punching down".
Michael Che in particular does this often. He's stated one way to defeat ISIS would be to open up Starbucks and yoga studios in their neighborhoods to gentrify it with white women.
