It's working. The few own capital. They dictate production, who is paid what. They own, and dictate to the rest what they own. It is working as intended. What we face is the conclusion of capitalism, which is self destructive.

Like a virus it ends up killing itself by killing the host, but it that's how it works naturlaly.

Capitalists seek more capital. The companies are contorlled by a few, non elected, board members, who dictate to all the workers below everything from their salaries, to pensions, to health benefits. No worker has a say.

US government as we know it, and hope it to be, is democratic. We DO have a say. The two systems have been incompatible with one another and that is why one has been trying very hard to dismantle another just to increae capital.
