Plus, it doesn't matter if the entire Cabinet wanted Trump removed, they couldn't do it without Pence, and he's got every incentive to hang on for another year, to get past January 20, 2019, because then he could run for two more terms instead of just one.

Also, there's this little matter of a two-thirds majority in EACH house of Congress needing to ratify the decision of the VP and the majority of the Cabinet, if the president objects (and you know he will). The threshold for mere impeachment is only one-half in the House, with the 25th Amendment being invoked, it becomes a more difficult endeavor for both sides of Congress, as there will not be any sort of "trial" in the Senate, as happened with Andrew Jackson and Bill Clinton.

I agree, forget about the 25th, it was written to deal with the idea of a president who was brain-dead after a failed assassination attempt, spurred by the JFK shooting, not someone who was elected to the office while resembling that particular mental condition.

If Dems win both houses big that might motivate Repubs to switch horses. Or North Korea demonstrates they can launch a working nuke, which could evaporate DC, and Trump orders a nuke, putting DC residents at risk of death from retaliation.
