(41,835 posts)and Cotton is a Liar, as are most of the Republican Party... but, being a Liar is the least of their crimes.

(213 posts)They don't pay any attention to him. Just like no one pays any attention to a spoiled kid throwing a tantrum. When he screams, stomps his feet and turns bright orange it's just like any other day.

(54,770 posts)I really don't care whether he called Africa, Haiti, etc., "s^#thole countries. Indicating you want less of them here is enough for me. Of course, many trump supporters, and even some who might not have voted for him, probably agree with trump. Next thing you know, trump will be touting Apartheid.

(820 posts)Such a simple question and no one asks it.
Why doesn't Trump clarify what he said if it is not what Durbin says?
Why doesn't Trump tweet his "Tough language"? You know, just to make it clear. . . . .
Why? Because it's exactly what he said.
He doesn't have the balls to own what he said. So his weasels have been sent out to equivocate, muddy the waters for their holier-than-thou supporters. What a terrible shock they are going to have one day when he finally drops his pants and goes screaming across the Rose Garden in front of cameras. They won't be able to lie about an incident like that. On that terrible day they are going to have to answer for their misrepresentations.
The rest of us will just say we are surprised it didn't happen sooner.

(5,106 posts)It's scary, but I understand he's been considered for Secretary of Defense (to give him credit, he did serve in the military: a rarity for a young Republican) and HEAD of the freakin' CIA. Now that's really scary! Forty years old, two years as a senator. I know, I know--JFK ran for POTUS after little more time as a U.S. Senator: but considerably more government experience overall. Oh and Cotton also went to Harvard. This man is Richard Nixon without Nixon's experience and gravitas.

(6,246 posts)then I would think the insultee would want to confront the insulter on the Senate floor, or maybe offer to meet him on a talk show. Especially now that we allegedly know DT allegedly called alleged friends to allegedly brag about the alleged comment.
Seriously, these guys are certainly setting one hell of an example for the rest of us, especially the kids. Apparently now it's okay to call someone else -- a colleague, no less -- a liar in public. Thankfully, a lot of kids probably don't bother to follow this horseshit.
