Jan 17, 2018 --- President Donald Trump's former chief strategist Steve Bannon was accused by a top Democrat of agreeing to a White House "gag order."
Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said after the hearing that Bannon was instructed by the White House in advance of the hearing not to respond to certain topics.

and such. Not sure. Esp if no subpoena. But that can't be done with a special counsel.
Remember that Bannon worked for Trump. Unlike Comey and some others.
BUT after Bannon informed them the WH instructed him not to answer, then they subpoenaed him. So presumably he now has to answer or be in contempt.

Trump in Jail for Contempt of court. But its likely that won't happen for Trump until he is Impeached or leaves the office by other means.

(22,845 posts)8. The good news is that, as the Justice Department is part of the Executive Branch, Trump's minions
can't invoke executive privilege to avoid testifying to Mueller.
