2. He's pretty good at not answering, skirting the question, being vague;
3. He's smarter than he looks;
4. He's not smart enough to get away with lying to people with evidence, and people who are smart;

6. He's very good at feigning innocence, at convincing some dufuses that he really didn't remember something.
I'm guessing that Sessions, being a lawyer himself, is nervous about being interviewed by Mueller. But he's also scared of Trump, who is capable of ruining his life...and would. He's also very loyal to Trump, to a fault. He might even be the type to fall on a sword for him.
Maybe he'll try to figure out what Mueller may have evidence of, to know what he can't lie about, or what he can claim he doesn't remember. Then he'll make general "I don't recall any such meetings" statements for most of the rest...if he doesn't think there is evidence of him knowing those things (emails, notes, phone calls with Russians).

(17,006 posts)He's an evil, self-serving, little toady. If Twitler's in prison he won't be able to ruin anyone's life. Sessions can claim it all just got out of hand, he didn't know what those evil Yankees were up to, ask for forgiveness and go back home to Alabama. A couple of prayer meetings later and it'll all be forgiven and forgotten.

(37,648 posts)to the extent he'd fall on a sword for him, or out of fear of him. He may be more afraid of prison. After all, he's rich. If Trump ruins his career, he can always retire with all his money. Better than prison.

(19,201 posts)He's smart enough to convince the Trump faithful how loyal he is to Der TwittenFuhrer, but he's not smart enough to pull the wool over Mueller's eyes. He'll perjure himself in front of Mueller, just as sure as he owns actual photographs of Black slaves hanging from trees. Trump's 'Roy Cohen' is going to end up in prison himself, and end up being disbarred. Mark my words.

(37,648 posts)he was smart enough not to actually DO anything felonious, perhaps. Flynn was not smart enough. Flynn was stupid. Flynn wasn't a lawyer.
But we don't have all the facts on Sessions, so hard to say.
Example: At the mtg when the Greek guy suggests a mtg with Putin, it was SESSIONS who immediately nixed that idea.
