Trumpy's crimes are multiple and international. His collaborations with Russian oligarchs, criminals and mob bosses are legion. Trumpy's not getting sleep. He's up late, wakes up early, and is obsessed with beating back all of his demons, human and otherwise, even while he dreams. Trumpy wants to get even, but by now, he's got to take vengeance on an entire DOJ, not a building contractor who didn't especially like being stiffed.

But Trumpy has something very much in common with Nixon. His aides and his inner circle all ended up disgraced and shunned. Perhaps John Dean made successful efforts at redeeming himself, but all of the others faded away quickly. Those fleeing Trumpy's reach can't be matched in terms of sheer numbers. This, too, won't end well.

“Education is being redefined at the demand of the uneducated to suit the ideas of the uneducated. The student now goes to college to proclaim rather than to learn. The lessons of the past are ignored and obliterated in a contemporary antagonism known as ‘The Generation Gap.’ A spirit of national masochism prevails, encouraged by an effete core of impudent snobs who characterize themselves as intellectuals.”

“the nattering nabobs of negativism” and “the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history.”
