If everyone would dance like that now, we wouldn't need to have aerobics classes! And Don Cornelius was the BEST host of all the music/dance shows. Love this trip down memory lane.

My parents got a glazed look when I'd turn on Soul Train and watch the whole thing. But they knew I got incredible music through a jerryrigged old mono Panasonic cassette recorder hooked to an antique shortwave radio that could pick up Chicago stations at night. I recorded hundreds of hours nary elsewhere heard but my car in the midwest.

From many of the men in this clip you can see the morph into hip hop dancing.

I remember when I had knees. . . .

.... Not one had a waist bigger than 28 inches around. And their bodies are so flexible and nimble. And this jive shit should be listed as a sin - shaking your tush around like that - for God's Sake someone is bound to get all excited and aroused.

My generation never did stuff like this - of course it was so far back and long ago - my youth is like a fog or a mirage - at my age it is very difficult to remember.

Other planets. Other galaxies. It's just too good to fade away.
