is ABSOLUTELY TRUE! I have watched it go downhill personally and have seen so much injustice in our so called "Justice System" than would be believed by the average American. The single biggest event was the McDonalds coffee case involving Stella Liebeck. Ms. Liebeck spilled her coffee in her lap, sued and received millions! At least that is how ALL our media reported it at the time. What they did not report was that McDonalds had been superheating their coffee worldwide b/c they could get 2x the coffee per bean and it would stay fresh longer. They had settled with burn victims confidentially. Ms. Liebeck almost died, and in the end had to have her labia and clitoris removed. The jury heard all of the evidence and awarded 1 day of McDonalds coffee sales (a couple million), but the Jude felt that to be excessive and Ordered a remititur to $900k. McDonalds lowered the temp of the coffee to industry standard and the public was safe. This is how it is supposed to work. The judiciary is not supposed to insert their own personal opinions.
