O達rien Grills Former SEAL About Ad Accusing Obama Of Taking Credit For Bin Laden Raid

On Friday, Starting Point host Soledad O’Brien spoke with former Navy SEAL Scott Taylor of OPSEC about a recent ad the group produced, condemning President Obama for leaking information and taking unmerited credit for the raid that resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden.

“We’re upset,” Taylor explained, “about the unprecedented amount of leaks that have come out in the past couple of years and as well as the over-politicizing of the raid itself, absolutely.”

O’Brien pointed out that the 22 minute-long ad contained various edits in order to make its point, but left out certain things the President said in his address following bin Laden’s death, including thanking those who carried out the mission. “Why leave that out?” she asked.

“Because, of course, the personal credit taken overshadows that, doesn’t it?” said Taylor. “So does the year anniversary commercials, so does the high level access to Hollywood producers who have given them a want to know basis rather than need to know basis, which is what’s supposed to happen with classified material.”

leaks from the bush administration including the outing of a CIA agent?

Part of the problem when Kerry was swift boated is the media gave free time to these scums, and not equal time to the Kerry campaign.

I certainly hope they don't focus 24/7 on this shit like they did when Kerry was swift boated

and what the Administration does about it.

They're sure as hell on target so far.

I think that they have to be quite stark and outspoken in their rebuttal, including trashing the retired wingnuts, & create a response that the media can't ignore. Like having McRaven come out in an ad, or at least re-run the old CNN interview where he gives Obama proper credit for having taken the political risks & called all the shots. Like having some of the Seal Team 6 guys come forward & lay it on the line.

Actually, what the Romnuts have done is to lay themselves open to have Obama make one helluva BIG DEAL out of the Osama takeout.

wearing a flight suit, with a giant 'Mission Accomplished' banner flying over his head.

I wonder how much this former Seal is being paid by the Republicans anyway?

5. Won't fly this time. It's easy to fudge facts about what happened in a jungle 30+ years ago.

This is about something that happened last year and which has been covered in detail by every major news outlet in the world. People know exactly what Obama has said and done because they've seen and heard it themselves with their own eyes and ears.

Could the guy talk any further out the side of his mouth and droop his eyelids anymore when facing a tough question? (the question on how is he "non-partisan" but ran for office as a repig)
