I was fortunate to be in his studio audience back in 2008 and was impressed with him personally. He came out and answered audience questions before the show, then made a point of coming out after the show to thank us for being there. After 30+ years, he didn't have to do that, but he did. 
Just kidding, he kind of looks like one though. 
And he goes into the weirdness of his beard in the second segment. 
It's kind of creepy. But then again, I find men with facial hair kind of creepy. Not sure why.
He was already accused of passing counterfeit money!
