I don't do cable but caught this one online. I had no idea Joe Scarborough could be so funny.

That is like a little kid placing a piece of paper on his shoulder and daring the other kid to take it off...I dare you, you dumb idiot! Go ahead, talk to him...

There should be a follow up to this, dare him to talk to Muller, rattle the man-child's ego...

Well done Joe, please continue to do it.

10. Some old-school Repubs hate Trump more than some Dems

Dems at least still have a party to be part of. Old Repubs have seen their conservative world collapse.

11. Let us hope that Trump defines the collapse of the "culture war"

Republicans, which I think is finally happening. And let us hope for the good of the country that the Republican party reinvents itself into something worthy of a second major party that believes in an exchange of ideas rather than a "culture war" pushed by ignorant politicians, talking heads, and fearful, victim-mentality voters.

In any case, this humor is much needed. I just didn't realize Scarborough did this kind of thing.

16. Hope so too. Much of the "culture wars" for Repubs was a tactical facade

Traditional Repubs have known they don't really have a dependably loyal popular base other than business, upper crust, and the country-club set so they have relied on some kind of moral crusade against some fictionalized bogeyman to scare the kids. Anti-communist after the war. The culture wars after civil rights and Vietnam. Evangelicalism after the fall of the wall. Even if they really believed their own self-righteous crap, conservatism today is completely bankrupt ideologically, which, like the fall of the Soviet Union, is one of most important signs of its collapse. I actually feel sorry for them and kind of miss them, the old William Buckley spawn. At least one could talk with them in a constructive way. Debate. Trumpism is pure cult of personality. Mussolini with orange hair.

13. I watched as much of this as I could

Joe S. is "too stupid"!

First of all, Penn is an Ivy League School. The Donald went there for 2 years, I guess. But he did not get a degree from The Wharton School (which is a prestigious graduate program), as he likes to claim. He got a BA from Penn in Economics.

Second of all, IQ45's advisers don't think he's too stupid (although he is), they know that he will LIE to Robert Mueller.

Completely different issue.

God, how can anyone watch more than about 3 minutes of Joe?? And Mika?? Save yourself honey! Don't marry this clown.
The way he dismisses her and talks down to her is vile.

I'm not a cable subscriber. The guy on the left clearly could not help laughing, nor could the guy on the right.

But yes, clearly a comedy team--well done satire that seemed to appear out of nowhere.

17. They should say: if he is too stupid to talk to Mueller, why do we let him talk to Putin alone?
Mon Jul 9, 2018, 07:09 PM
Jul 2018

The pundits miss the most obvious connections. Trump won't allow anyone in the room with him when he talks to Putin, and didn't when he talked to Kim. But he's too stupid to talk to another American?
