its has and could happen more often here in the US. Just near me the state is finally repaving a highway that was supposed to have been done more than 20+ yrs ago. All the concrete bridges 1930's-40's above it are crumbling. The NY Thurway Auth. has has to do major reconstructions of many of its over passes. Even the interstates are under major reconstruction. States have been waiting a long time for congress to come up with an major infrastructure bill.

I came from the Hudson Valley to Illinois last week some almost 900miles and I have to say Indiana has the worst pavement I've ever seen on an interstate. Its pretty telling driving across the country, I did see many new rest stops and places making repairs. Indiana seems to be doing nothing.
