(50,954 posts)office, not the man. On what basis would trump not "let" McGahn talk to Mueller? What power would let him do that?

(18,837 posts)...that Trump probably "believes" that McGahn is his personal attorney, so he "let" him talk to Mueller, which he believed would "prove" that he had nothing to hide.
So it's Trump's faulty assumption that is on display here.

(8,200 posts)When I listened to former AG Gonzales I understood him to say that McGahn had the obligation to cooperate fully with the Special Prosecutor and that he didn't represent Trump, but the office of the presidency. It is my understanding that he advises the White House on the legality of their actions to protect the office from misused by those such as this fraudulent occupant. Personally, I don't recognized Trump as president since he willingly has colluded with our arch enemy that is determined to destroy our nation.
