Cruz hit every hot button issue the right has. Second amendment, Hillary Clinton, tax cuts, God, socialism, Bernie Sanders, respect the flag or disrespect veterans (kneeling at football games naturally), brown people coming into the country, on the ground at the school shooting in Texas, etc, etc. Never mind if the question did not pertain to any of those issues. It was red meat for the masses. In other words, he was a complete douchebag. The perfect candidate for the mindless hordes.

is a very accomplished debater and his supporters in the audience loved him, because he hit all those hot button issues. He really should have been a preacher.
