The Neuroscience of Perception.

I've been interested in the neuroscience of consciousness lately, and ran across this article and video --

What in the world is consciousness?

Part of my interest is driven by the clear example of mass hysteria on the part of Trump supporters -- how in the hell do they really believe the crap they believe?

Well, the answer is -- they are hallucinating it. And those hallucinations are guided in part by their media consumption.

'Fake news' is indeed the enemy of the American people. Fox News is a foreign-owned news outlet answerable to no American that dominates our markets. And guess what?

It's being used to destroy the United States.

for later viewing, at which time I will try to contribute to discussion as perception is an interest of mine since my early psych studies and readings I've pursued...

Lets say you tell your good friend that you just one the PowerBall lottery and your giving him 5 million dollars.. He is ECSTATIC!! All his financial worries are gone by the wayside. A new world has opened up... Then you tell him it's an April Fools joke and he is back to his old life with his old problems.. What has really changed?.. nothing but his perception of what happened.
The words created a conversation in his head that everything was going to change...
And the new words just brought him back to reality.... neat stuff...Trust but verify....
