They knew that they won November 6th, and didn't actually do the move until January 20, 2009 Tx4obama Aug 2012 #4

I'm sure they had help that wouldn't be available to you or me, but that had to have been exhausting!

So, they did have over two months to decide what to pack, order new furniture for the WH residence, decide what schools the girls would go to, etc.

And they've kept their home in Chicago, so they didn't take everything with them to the White House.

But it still would have been a lot to do

It's hard to believe that any clear thinking person would find so
much to criticize them for ~ I am African American and for all these years of voting ~ I always voted for White candidates. Never thought for one minute
what color they were - never.

And if Obama had been a Rethug and stupid like CANN I would never have voted for him just because of his color.

The Obama's and the Kennedy family are my favorites.

I knew the night when I heard Obama give his 2004 Democratic Convention keynote speech that he would someday be president.

I was a bit surprised though that it happened ONLY four years later - that was quick

After his speech I called my aunt in Illinois to see if she had heard the speech (but she had missed it) - I told her: "He is gonna be our president someday."
I sent her a taped copy of the speech and after she watched it she said: "Yep, you're right he will be president."

I betcha millions of folks thought the same thing
