(205,343 posts)Alec Baldwin is always good and Beck Bennett as Mitch McConnell was spot on, LOL, and I thought that Kate McKinnon's Elizabeth Warren was phenomenal! I wasn't all that thrilled with the way she made fun of her, but I sure couldn't fault the impersonation!

(205,343 posts)They did the same thing with Hillary and Obama (though they both appeared on the show) and you'll notice I didn't register any objections to the Mitch McConnell impersonation - which was much more severe and there may well be people out there who would object to that, LOL. And despite my views of what they had Elizabeth Warren saying, I really thought Kate McKinnon did an amazing job, no big surprise!

(205,343 posts)Anyone who goes into public life - especially as public as a POTUS or presidential candidate is - has to know that anything that they do or say is subject to scrutiny and possible ridicule. Those with experience - and a sense of humor - realize that just comes with the territory. Obama knew that and Hillary certainly did - and I'm sure that the same goes for Elizabeth Warren. It's only Trump, who is without experience or humor, who chooses to be offended. And, unlike the others, he really is a caricature all by himself.

(86,612 posts)on the Warren bit, the impersonation was really good but she could have had better lines for that part, I didn't think it was very funny. The rest was pretty good.

(205,343 posts)She can successfully capture absolutely anyone - any age or gender, she nails it. I found myself paying less attention to the things that she was saying - which weren't that clever - than reminding myself that I wasn't actually listening to Elizabeth Warren!
