I hope my kids/grandkids don't give me the keys to a powerhouse like that Corvette at my advanced (70+) years. Seriously, a Fit or a tricycle would be more appropriate.

and yes, that model was a handful for even experienced drivers. I believe that was the last model (1973-1974) in which the big-block engines were offered. Acceleration was it's forte...turning not so much. Your Rabbit was indeed a lot safer.

It wasn't "the" corvette he had sold, though. It was a similar model. Close enough. He must have been a great dad.
