Last week he was horrified to learn New Zealand had been left off that map! And he's also a great teacher - you tend to pay close attention because he lectures with such humor!

...and how much he hates Thomas Edison.

One of my earliest jobs was as a coil winder in an auto parts factory (mid-80's) and there were two sets of machines I worked on. On one machine, I would wrap the posts with thin copper wire, let the winder wind the coil onto the spindle, and then I would wrap the remaining post and the part was made. The other machine was basically the same thing, but the machine would wrap the 2nd post. That was automation.

As for jobs, repetitive tasks can make you nuts, so I welcome any help we can get!
