That's a 'scandal' I could happily live with, not to mention the fact that I would be able to sleep at night. And my blood pressure would be normal. And my stomach wouldn't be giving me problems. And I could read the news without getting a migraine.

And on and on and on.

And this was mentioned on one of the MSNBC shows recently. Apparently it depends on who's wearing the tan suit...

for a few minutes. I used to spend hours on DU, but now my stomach starts churning in no time and I have to put my phone down. I try to find something else to occupy my brain.

That's why I'm looking for cat videos at 11 p.m. I need something to make me laugh. Otherwise I think I would sit and cry all day.

It just gets worse and worse, and you think it has to stop at some point. These people have to be held accountable. But after Manafort's sentencing today, I am seriously wondering if we will be able to turn this around and get our country back.

Here kitty kitty kitty kitty. I need a cat video.

I can only take so much - and have to change the channel when they start showing footage of Trump. It started during the campaign, I turned off the Trump news and started watching anything else, couldn't wait for the campaign to be over so I'd never ave to see or hear him again.

And that's why I started posting the late night comedians here. I can take the news if it's coming from Stephen Colbert and the like - he has such a brutal sense of humor. And I figured we really needed more humor here these days.

I also wonder the same things. I seems like it happened overnight - kind of snuck up on us. Each and every day, I can't believe this is really happening - and that it's still allowed to go on...

Trump is not allowed on my TV. The remote is in my hands at all times. The second he shows up, I either hit the mute or the fast forward button. I cannot stand to look at him, I cannot stand the sound of his voice. He's worse than Cheney, and that's saying a lot!

And like you, I watch Colbert. He lets me laugh at Trump, and helps me keep what little sanity I have left.

John Oliver also helps. Bill Maher gets some pretty wild people on his show, and there are times I have to skip it.

But I have to say that Colbert is the genius when it comes to putting Trump down in such delicious ways. He usually has me howling with laughter, something I so desperately need.

I usually tune into MSNBC, but once they start showing footage of Trump and the offensive blather that comes out of his mouth, it's gotten so I can't take it. That's the reason that the late night guys help. I started posting those that I watch, The Daily Show, Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers. I can take the news coming from them - and Colbert is especially brutal.

I also post Bill Maher (though it makes me nutz when he has right wing guests!) and John Oliver, too. And I read that John Oliver does not like to talk about Trump. He will cover particularly shocking Trump news for the first 5 minutes (He really can't stand Jared Kushner, loves to make fun of him!), but generally leaves these stories to the nightly guys and moves on to a story that we aren't hearing about that he's spent the whole week developing.

And I do wonder if news will ever be the same. We used to hear important international news, an earthquake in Japan, a tsunami in Indonesia, conflicts between nations - but now all we get is Trump news and scandals 24/7! His offenses are so numerous on a daily basis that it's impossible to get to them all and they've completely taken over the airwaves...
