in economics and political science. She is no dumb chick. In the 1st semester of grad school, students learn how to do graduate research in libraries and through the literature (published research) on their topic. AOC knows exactly how to research the history of census questions, probably as far back as the first census in 1790. Wilbur Ross is probably shitting bricks that an uppity "little woman" is challenging his bullshit. I hope that Chairman Cummings refers Ross to the JD for willfully lying to Congress.

Those assholes in the Trump admin had better up their game. I can't wait until Chairwoman Maxine Waters starts holding sessions.

Pass the popcorn

.....is by design.

Learned the other day that OAC won a science fair when she was in HS.

In 2007, Ocasio-Cortez won a prize at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in microbiology. The ISEF isn’t your standard panorama-filled science fair: It’s the largest pre-college scientific research event in the world. She entered in her senior year of high school with a project on Caenorhabditis elegan (C. elegan) lifespan extension, with her findings indicating that “antioxidants could potentially help prevent degenerative illnesses induced by oxidative stress.”

To see a picture of her with her project:

She's truly brilliant. Oh---and there's an asteroid named after her. Not kidding.

Who do they think they work for ? WE are not their employees, we are their EMPLOYERS.

WE are not their stockholders/Board of Directors, WE are VOTERS.

This is why I have always believed that NO billionaire/CEO should EVER be in government office. They are accustomed to a life of accommodation, not subordination. They do not listen to learn. They do not seek to change what they think works. They tend to be out of touch with the common American and don't care to be knowledgeable. Almost none of them can tell you what a gallon of milk/a pound of ground beef/a box of nappies cost. And they don't give a damn. These are not items that concern them. The average American lives a life they never have and never will. And they're not interested to find out.

The arrogance of these people is entrenched. And reinforced throughout their lives. They have always looked down on the average American and that will never change. If you believe long enough that everyone is beneath you, you are not prone to looking at them as worthy, much less as peers/equals. Although we are all AMERICANS before we are anything else, these people hold themselves as separate and above the rest of us.

Lee Iacocca - the former CEO of both Ford and GM - was once asked to run as a republican for president back in the 80s. He immediately said "NO." When asked why, he said that his management style was not suited to the job of president. He knew that running an international, multi-billion dollar corporation was NOT the same as running the country.
