Will Trump Pelosi Infrastructure Deal Lead to Second Term for Trump?

Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are working with Donald Trump on a multi trillion dollar infrastructure deal. Putting aside their differences in the belief that getting an infrastructure deal set up would benefit the American people

There is just one problem. this deal could help Donald Trump get elected in the upcoming 2020 Election.

(Mulvaney has already said as much) but, they do show the attempt to meet the public demands.
It does counter the RW narrative-- that they will try so hard to promote, that Dems are only focused on impeachment.

I'd like to think the strategy is well thought out. I guess we shall see.

As bad as the U.S. infrastructure is, and as much as I would like to see some money spent to improve it, it might not be the best thing to make a deal with Trump. It would give him a victory he will claim all for himself.

You said, yourself, that you don't know. You don't know. No one knows so what's the point of whipping up those who talk of DLC conspiracies and "corporate Democrats?"

We have a Nazi in the White House, Thom. Talk of him winning feeds the wrong people.

Something that sounds good to run on, and infrastructure could funnel a great deal of taxpayer dollars into the pockets of the wealthy and also serve business needs.

Imho, there are just too many people that have been burned by his policies and other issues he’s facing like:

Failure to stop the immigrant “crisis” and no wall brings hatred from the right for his weakness and being “just another politician.” These people won’t vote for any “Libtard” but might not vote or vote third party.
And the middle and left wing see through his charade and hate him with a well-deserved passion.

There will be extreme groups on either side willing to throw the country to the wolves if they don’t get their way by voting for third parties, creating smear campaigns and/or false smear campaigns against themselves to garner support, as has happened before. But I think people are starting to pay attention and are wise to many of these tactics now, my evidence being the 2018 mid term election.

I can't believe Sen. Feinstein fell for that shit. The same goes with Rep. Pelosi and Sen. Schumer falling for Drumpf's lies. They all need to retire if they are going to be so gullible.

She is still living in a past that has long gone. It is just as fantastical to imagine, as Republicans do, that we can go back to some magical time when everything was "great", or "normal". We need a warrior right now, not an appeaser.
We need a patriot, not a consolidator. We need the old guard to stand back, and to listen to the new guard like Kamala calling openly for impeachment. No cooperation until then.

This is putting a bandaid on a hurricane. No one will remember or respect how Nancy and Chuck bent over backwards to make a deal with the orange baffoon at this time in history, who, if it ever gets done, will claim all the glory for himself anyways. Deplorables won't give then any credit, in fact will use as an example of Trump b-slapping them. And many Democrats will be appalled by the leaderships deafness they have towards their own base. Many will be so disgusted with their lack of passion and action AGAINST this abomination and instead working to normalize and work with him, that they will stay home in 2020.
