Thom Hartmann's words give me hope.

I watched King's speech on live TV when I was 9 years old. Never forgot it...

We've come far, but there still are many rivers to cross....

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

When the majority of people who have a "conscience", learn what they need to know about how conscience (or the lack thereof) affects character, and can properly judge another persons character, then and only then will the rest of kings speech have a chance of coming true.

Edited to add: Don't try to fix what you don't understand.
