When he was talking about the "indulged" only children, I was reminded of what my Dad described when they visited a school. Each of the Americans was assigned a child to "dance" with and the little boy my Dad was paired with was obviously having a bad day. To humor ornery kids, apparently they put make up on them to "cheer them up!" And my Dad was assigned a grouchy little kid with rouge all over his cheeks, LOL. Fortunately, my Dad was good with kids and had a sense of humor, but from what he said it was no exaggeration that the kids were often spoiled and indulged.
