I've slowly started to admire his digging into a lot of subjects and doggedly pursuing them.
But I don't need 70% of J.O. making quips and asides to appreciate the material.
Perhaps 20-30% would be a better ratio.

Switch the proportions and it might not be categorized as a comedy show any longer.
And keep in mind another percentage-100%--as in Oliver probably doesn't have that much control over the format of the show. Presumably, HBO does.
