Thanks for posting this.

It is my firm conviction, (and to put it in the simplest terms) an oligarchy is not compatible with what we consider to be democracy, it is a means to end it once and for all.

Consider also that, in our lifetimes, we may see the first trillionaire. That's not even in some online dictionaries, yet. Bezos is one of the top contenders, but there are others. If you think billions is a head bender, then imagine someone with $1-trillion dollars or more. They are their own economy, basically. They might as well become their own country. Bezosland?

That's why I joke around and speculate about the immortal, cyborg Trillionaires who will hunt the rest of us for sport. If you pay more attention to what is going on with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in an accelerated fashion, then that statement is not necessarily a matter of fiction. For most people, the advances in AI, automation and even medicine would be rather shocking because they are not covered in-depth by the mainstream. With a little investigation, you might be amazed or very alarmed.

So, the wheel spins and what will it be if we don't know enough or try to circumvent it: A technocracy? A digital oligarchy? An hyper-Feudal Neo-Serfdom? It looks more like a fusion of those. Our prodigy may just rent their time here from moment to moment and own nothing at all, living just to create micro-transactions in a dystopian Neo-liberal caste system.

The idea of having $1Billion much less $1Trillion. Will have to get a new “Trillionaires Tears” coffee mug soon?
