For a second I though it really was Kamala. Have you seen Maya in the Sling commercial? She has a garage door opener duct-taped to her ankle. and claims she's on house arrest.

It's great that they all come back when they stage the debates, Woody Harrelson wasn't back as Joe Biden this time, but Jason Sudeikis may have been better...

Recently found that out from "Finding Your Roots" PBS show. Apparently they didn't know until the DNA came back. No wonder Larry plays Bernie so well lol.

Larry David And Bernie Sanders Shocked To Find Out They are Related On Finding Your Roots

When Larry David debuted his Bernie Sanders impersonation on Saturday Night Live, the similarities were uncanny. The Curb Your Enthusiasm star looked, talked and walked almost exactly like the Senator. David’s impression was so good that it was kind of scary. You didn’t know where David ended and Sanders began. When two appeared on the season 4 premiere of the PBS’ show Finding Your Roots they were given a shocking discovery: they were related.

The biggest surprise I ever heard was that Barack Obama and Dick Cheney are distant cousins!

I had to know more; I found this AP story reported by NBC news:

[link:http://www.nbcnews.com/id/21340764/ns/politics/t/lynne-cheney-vp-obama-are-eighth-cousins/|

WASHINGTON — Though they may spar across the political aisle, Vice President Dick Cheney is close enough to Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama to call him “cousin.”

Eighth cousin, that is.

Lynne Cheney, the vice president’s wife, revealed this tantalizing bit of political trivia during a television interview Tuesday.

She said she uncovered the long-ago ties between the two while researching her ancestry for her latest book, “Blue Skies, No Fences,” a memoir about growing up in Wyoming.

“This is such an amazing American story that one ancestor ... could be responsible down the family lines for lives that have taken such different and varied paths as Dick’s and Barack Obama,” Lynne Cheney told MSNBC.

According to her spokeswoman, Sen. Obama, D-Ill., is a descendent of Mareen Duvall. This French Huguenot’s son married the granddaughter of a Richard Cheney, who arrived in Maryland in the late 1650s from England, said Ginny Justice, a spokeswoman for Lynne Cheney.

The vice president’s full name is Richard B. Cheney.

A spokesman for Obama, who wants to be the first black U.S. president, offered a tongue-in-cheek response. “Every family has a black sheep,” said spokesman Bill Burton.

Lynne Cheney did not reference the ancestral ties between her husband and Obama in the book.

who's last name is the same as my mom's maiden name. Since it's relatively common in parts of NC and TN, we joked that we were probably related. Sure enough. 6 generations removed.

And both Bill Maher and John Oliver are on "hiatus" until after the first of the year. I think Bill won't be back till January 17th.
