...he had 3 successful films under his belt before he left, unlike Chevy, who had no successful films under his belt when he left after 1 season.

It's amazing that most of the current cast were either infants or were not even born when he was at his peak on SNL.

His Gumby reappearance had them all cracking up barely able to get through the routine and the one you posted with his cake moving around on the table talking and on fire was just a riot.

a few times now. What I miss about Eddie is his amazing absurdity, just like that.

made me laugh out loud. Just the damn cake before they even get into it! Why I had to watch it again.

One of the most memorable things I still recall most of was a video short that he did where he recited simple poetry from a jail cell. "Cil my landlord" was the best. "C-I-L."

I don't remember who did Mr. Bill but that feature had some hilarious episodes too.

Dark and lonely on the summer night.
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
Watchdog barking - Do he bite?
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
Slip in his window,
Break his neck!
Then his house
I start to wreck!
Got no reason --
What the heck!
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
C-I-L-L ...
My land - lord ...

I have tried to remember the whole thing and it was just too long ago and I never think to look it up.

That was truly memorable in both good and scary ways.
