My current girlie occasionally hears the coyotes, but she really only lets loose with some (but not all) fire engine sirens. Not sure what is different about the ones that set her off, but it is amusing since it usually occurs when we are out walking one of the semi-urban trails near me.

Different dogs do seem to react differently...I actually bought a "wolf howl" cd and played it for my dog.. He showed some interest/ curiosity, but did not howl along...This is so cool.

My 6-year-old loves this movie, and we joke all the time about the "you're gonna start a howl!" line!
(Amazing sound, btw - chilling and beautiful at the same time...)
