Putin MUST have hacked the elections server.
Rick "Voldemort" Scott bumbles his way through a Fox interview, making an excellent case for why Bolton SHOULD be subpoenaed to testify.

(853 posts)Florida Man is going to vote Rep. no matter the candidate. The true power base in Florida is the Latinx. Nelson pretty much took them for granted. Scott worked the Latin community. Scott went to Puerto Rico after the hurricane. Nelson didn't. As much as I hate Scott, Nelson assumed as the inumbant he would win. Nelson deserved to lose.

(5,528 posts)After several decades of dealing with this shit, Florida has developed a fairly competent and professional system of emergency management.
All he had to do as Governor was fly around the state and show up at every news conference and tout what the emergency measures were in place. Much of the work is done at the County level and funded by FEMA but he showed up and took credit for all of it.
They even suspended tolls in South Florida for about 10 days which was about a week longer than necessary. The electronic message boards read "Tolls suspended by the order of the Governor". Nice advertising giving commuters a break at the State's expense. I was livid at the time.

(16,296 posts)When the federal investigation of Rick Scotts former hospital company became public in 1997, the board of Columbia/HCA forced him out. Scott left with $300 million in stock, a $5.1 million severance and a $950,000-per-year consulting contract for five years.
What does Scott call that? Taking responsibility.
The governors new Senate campaign ad (article from Oct. 2018) again seeks to rewrite the history of Columbia/HCA, which Scott founded in 1987 and led as CEO. Indeed, the ad is titled responsibility and compares Scotts actions to those of strong leaders.
In its settlement with the government, the company admitted to 14 felonies related to fraudulent billing and practices. Most happened under Scotts leaders
Columbia/HCA gave kickbacks to doctors so they would refer patients. Columbia/HCA made patients look sicker than they were, so Medicare would pay more. Columbia/HCA kept two sets of books.
.....
The confidentiality agreement kept secret a deposition by Scott that he has refused to release. In a deposition related to Columbia/HCA, Scott took so much responsibility that he invoked the Fifth Amendment 75 times.
