If you are coughing and sweating, maybe turn your head away from your 5yo daughter when coughing?
Also, maybe not share a water-bottle with her?

(9,070 posts)...and I saw lots of this kind of behavior. A few people had masks, and there was some sanitizer...but people were coughing, passing things around, sharing with kids, and it was scary.
As a long time educator, I'm used to hand-washing, being careful about touching surfaces, and wiping off everything. It's a habit that comes from working in germ factories for years.
The same people who buckle their car seats and inspect Halloween candy seem clueless about basic biology. All of the current virus advice is the same as we've heard for decades.
BTW, airports and hotels are great places to spread germs, and it would seem there would be more organized hygiene in the US. In schools that I've worked in, there has been regular surface cleaning and cautions for decades. I know that decades ago we were warning kids about coughing, touching, sharing, and telling them to stay home if sick. I've wiped off doorknobs, keyboards, etc. as long as I can remember.

(45,516 posts)maybe try not to share water or cough on your daughter. You wouldn't want her catching the flu or a cold or something, plus it's just rude.

They are, nonetheless, both diseases one of which is curable while the other is only treatable.
