Beautiful film.

Hard to describe when telling people about it...

There's no dialogue and it doesn't tell a story, but you won't be too fond of humankind when it's over.

The rest of the -qatsi series was also excellent.

I've seen both Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi in theaters with the Philip Glass Ensemble performing the music live. Amazing!

It had been a long and depressing day of watching the news and I noticed that this was showing on one of the cable channels. I decided to watch it to get my mind off the day's events.

I did not know that it ended with footage of an Atlas missile exploding.

Nevertheless, I was glad I watched it. Amazing film.

Got the DVD. Was hugely impressed by the natural beauty and the time lapse photography. But one scene at 1:13:35 always stayed with me and seems even more potent now, with someone in a hospital gripping a nurse’s hand.
