President Obama and the Commentator talking about THIS, and Mittens talking about THAT. This will be most entertaining. Using the Palin strategy did not work for her, Mitts; and it won't work for you.

and they know even that is unachievable

Seriously, Bush played the lowered expectations game with incredible finesse. It is all about working on the center demographic of undecided voters who are not even paying attention now and who can easily fall for the rubric, "this guy is making a startling comeback"

even if he just climbed to the sidewalk from the gutter

Certainly they will try to lower expectations.

But how do you do that when you have spent 4 years denigrating the President as a dolt who can't string two sentences together without a teleprompter.

He is going to get his ass handed to him.

He's going to focus on his false narrative and challenge the President to rebuke him.... No matter how witless he is, there are still very good GOP writers available to tell him just when to say "There you go again..." I hope the President's response will be "No, there YOU go again!" etc.

Watch him work against Santorum and Gingrich in the GOP primary debates. The faux outrage etc. He does have some tricks to play. All can be defeated with a cool head, facts and some good put down lines though.

just backfire for Mittens.

It could work for Raygun because he really did know how to deliver a line (of course, that's about all he did know) and voters found him reassuring and likable. Mitt is probably the most unlikable candidate ever and would likely come off as a smirky a-hole.

The campaign is a science fiction show:

"...We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. ..."

And some of the other recent cartoon images and captioned pictures. We're supposed to think the election is in the bag? We're supposed to be reassured that Romney is no threat, Romney is in disarray, Romney's campaign is a joke?

I don't feel that way.

I think we need to take the opposition VERY seriously, because that's the way they will approach this campaign. I don't think we should be relaxing for ONE INSTANT.

Showing Romney on the canvas, KOed?? That's what they want us to think.

I hate to say it, but my redneck relatives are liking Mitt on Facebook. And i know where the racist demographic in my old home town is going. Plus, they have suppressed millions and millions of voters.

A good laugh and political ridicule are fun, but this is serious business, to say the least.
