I've never seen a more depressing Brooks and Shields segment on the News Hour tonight.

Eddie Glaube, Jr. had been on and said this week "broke" him. He is usually even and steady but he was shaken, really sounded unmoored. I felt terrible for him. Really sad.

Brooks is just now "getting" it? Really, David?

Shields has gotten it all along. I wish he had said "I told you so" to David, I really do.

Really, republicans? You hadn't figured this thing out during the 2016 campaign? It didn't OCCUR to you that DJT was a madman? Another pandemic was almost certain. There are sane public servants still at the State Department, Health and Human Services, etc etc... We didn't even think that a systematic taking apart or effectively disabling the functioning of our national government was so possible? Really?

I think what must have tipped these guys was the Scarborough incident. They all mentioned it. One of their own got outrageously slandered. I guess they all felt endangered.

Well, OK. Better late than ever, national media. I'd say "better luck next time" but I'm just hoping their WILL BE a next time...

these people who are just now getting it? They have been willfully blind for some time. I waver between wanting them to go to hell and wanting them to vote against Trump in November.

His presidency is in its death throes; he's realizing it, and blaming everyone but himself. Being such a vindictive POS, Trump will probably take his revenge on the country on the way out the door.

I would have to agree. Brooks was about as subdued as I've ever seen - to the point of no more fucks to give. His line of "structural ravines" dividing our country was fitting as was Shields comment about tRump lashing out at twitter was like "a whale lashing out at the ocean". Good analogy there using an even better term.
