(36,057 posts)There is the distinct use of force ahead. And only the governors can mediate that force.
He has called American protestors terrorists. What you heard is tyranny.
Bullshit doesn't even approach what he wants to do, imo.

(244 posts)how he can mobilize the US Military against US citizens? It's against the Posse Comitatus Act. In theory, he can circumvent it, but I doubt that it can be done quickly. When he loses the election, can the same be done to quell his idiot followers?

(36,057 posts)cares not at all for rule of law except to use in the smashing of democratic government and institutions.
He'll be competing against governors who have some control over their national guards.
If he moves to order the US military into Democratic cities and other "terrorist" strongholds, what attorney general is there to stop him? Will the Joint Chiefs refuse to carry out his orders under martial law? We'll see.
About your Posse Comitatus Act reference ... again, when has he ever respected rule of law? Say he declares martial law. If the House wants to act on this, I don't think that any Posse Comitatus impeachment case -- he'll probably laugh about how the House will waste time on that -- even if fast tracked, will be productive, except to include in the Congressional Record; because we know it's not getting past this Republican Senate.
The issue, imo, is martial law and his going after Democratic blue states, so he can show his base just what a real tough manly president looks like.
Just my layman's opinion.

He doesn't have a peaceful calm bone in his pathetic body. He's not a war President, he's not a peace President: he's no President at all.

The average citizen does not know the line between this and a tank.

Police snipers are on San Diego rooftops.
They won't need tanks if the National Guards work with police to paralyze mayors' and governors' attempts to allow protesting and the national police problem that black Americans have.
