In a reserved sort of way, because what Brent here is doing in parody, I have curious throwback family who actually can manage to seriously twist themselves in pretzel knots with the exact conundri he's poking fun at. I'm only a california pariah to them.
This pride month is a rough one for me, COVID limiting any potential social interaction except work, where an emotional distance must be maintained to function. I lost my fur baby on Saturday to cancer. I miss him nearly as much as I miss my husband lost to AIDS so long ago now. I can't find any of these social media substitutes to even come close to participation in parades and such.
Sigh, so lonely. Once the weather gets better I'm planning on some outdoor cafe social-distanced meetups with family.
I'm certain there are many LGBTQ's who find themselves in similar circumstances this year.
