Trump, however, will boast about his ability to distinguish the big hand from the little hand on a clock. He probably expects to receive (actual) gold star stickers for reading from teleprompters.

(21,408 posts)but not the one that Trump took.
One of the best tests I took; I was at my regular doctor's appointment and the nurse who takes your vitals began talking to me about stuff. She talked for 5 minutes and then she gave me a test. She asked me questions about what she just got done telling me. No I didn't remember everything but it taught me a lesson to listen to others when they are speaking.
Trump certainly would flunk that test. First of all he wouldn't allow someone else to speak for 5 minutes without interrupting.

(175,752 posts)There was no suspicion that I was losing it, but it was required for entry into a nursing home for treatment of MRSA so I could be on IV antibiotics. Anyway, I aced it.
It was so easy that I could have done it at age 6. Also, it wasn't administered by a doctor, but by some kind of therapist.

(261 posts)Back in 2013, we were dealing with my father who was in the very early stages of dementia. My ex-brother-in-law had wormed his way back into my father's life and was attempting to get power of attorney and to take everything my father owned. My sister and I were able to get a guardian ad litem assigned to him, but "ex-John" had found an attorney for my father who was soaking him for every dime possible. In the meantime, ex-John found a counselor to give my father a cognitive test and physical exam. The report he produced was that my father had the mind and body of a 25-year-old. My father was 96 at the time.
My father's attorney kept putting off the court date. My response was that he is 96, he might not survive until the court date. During that time period, one night my father had shut off the heat to his home when it was about 16 degrees in the Spokane area. I called my father every day as I live out-of-state. My sister who lived nearby was now estranged from my father thanks to her ex-husband. I kept phoning my father and then someone finally answered. It was the paramedics. It appears my father had fallen that morning. He slept in the nude. When he fell, he broke his hip. He was too proud to wear his Life-Alert, so he laid there in a freezing home all day. The paramedics tried to revive him, but he died of hypothermia in his own home. He was a former career Marine intelligence officer, and that is how he died.
I have always wondered if his counselor who said he had the mind and body of a 25-year-old ever knew he died or cared. The attorney certainly didn't care. As long as they got paid, who cared. There is a lot more to this horror story, but it would take a book to write.

Then , rather than spending the time and intellectual coin to explore it even a bit more, will declare himself an expert or mastering the subject. He's done this all his life, why change? A superficial creature with a narcissistic core.
