(22,861 posts)4. I agree that Hendrix was in the prime of the first phase of his musical career at Monterey,
but later recordings demonstrate that he had a lot more diversity of styles and inventive creativity up his sleeve. Hendrix wasn't just about pyrotechnic displays of new sounds and powerful emotion - he also was capable of subtle, inventive exploration of many different musical genres. I regret that he died with so much left to express.

This seems to be a single roll from the film. Unfortunate, because the audience reaction in the final cut was phenomenal, as well as more full stage views. But this is what everyone remembers.
