Black people didn't create the racism that founded capitalism in the 15th Century, furthered the Atlantic slave trade, slavery, Jim Crow state laws, Black bodies used as fascist violent targets.

There are still 134 sundown towns in the U.S., and they will not go down without a fight. We white antiracists have to bring it to them when Biden becomes president. More on that later...

One of the biggest lies spoken today.

Just experienced this ignorant racist hatred from a long time friend of mine when I visited him in Wichita. These ignorant racists are in every corner of this country...and thick as mud in many parts.

The biggest lie spoken. We are ALL racist...but most of us recognize our racism and control it...blacks and minorities included. But these deplorable assholes have let it go wild, and are the sick, immoral part of our fabric today.

My parents moved me to a small, white-bread, racist town in my middle school years. That makes a little over 5 years in the most idiotic hell hole, doubled down on ignorance by relatives of the Westboro Baptist Phelps clan, and double jeopardy for my gay, "half-breed" self, 5 years I've tried very hard and extensive therapy to forgive and forget. The "forgiveness" part has been rescinded lately in the Trump era stupidity.
I certainly wish I could completely forget the image of the most ignorant, antediluvian set of porch-sitting idiots, all smoking roll-your-owns through their missing yellow and black teeth every one of them. These were the grandfathers of younger generations I had to tolerate until it all spun way out of control on the instigation of the Phelpses to see that I would be exterminated in the name of Jeebus.
I endured conditions that would make most U.S. citizens sick to their stomachs to escape that. Youth, resilience and some artful-dodger inspired creativity was the only way I survived.
To this day I cannot for the life of me understand what my parents were thinking moving there. They eventually left as well some years before their demise, but not before enduring some similar hardships.
This California fruity nut checked into Hotel California many years ago to escape demise by similar ignoramuses. I can check out any time I like, but I can never leave.

Seriously though - sorry for all the trauma you endured. I cannot begin to comprehend what it’s like to be treated badly because of who you are. Today I got a mild taste of it ironically, and it filled me with barely controllable violent rage that I ultimately did control. I was simply walking my dog in Hell’s Kitchen NYC (lots of gays in this neighborhood though I’m straight) and some guy made kissy sounds that I assumed were directed at my dog...as a typical dog parent, that made me smile at the guy...he then said, “don’t look at me you fucking fa***t I’ll fucking kill your fa***ty ass.” My immediate thought was decapitating that piece of shit with a baseball bat. I yelled some choice words back at this piece of shit with raging adrenaline- I really wanted to execute the motherfucker for daring to disrespect me - really. I did let it go...he was the type with no education that could have a gun...and my job requires background checks.

Then I, a straight upper income white male, realized that marginalized groups deal with this shit every day and I could barely control my violent rage. I don’t know how the marginalized groups control their anger after I could barely contain mine from one comment from one demented uneducated piece of shit not generally worth my time and totally beneath me.
