(1,574 posts)but I feel a bit better now. It was a set back, no doubt about that but we have 2 more debates and a bit of time to make it up. I do think that the President can't have another performance like last night. Even if he isn't a great debater he should have at least called Mitt on some of his lies. What gets me is that Obama had the opportunity to end it last night. Drive the final nail in the coffin and he did not do that. No one is perfect but both he and Joe must be on their games the next few weeks.

(4,695 posts)When Mitt's Moderate personality took over, Obama did not expect this Mitt. Bi-partisanship has moved Obama a little bit right away from his left roots. It takes moderate to know moderate. (Obama was very personally hurt by the midterm elections.) Obama could sympathize with the former Mit moderate personality that Mitt used to get to be governor. I saw the three personalties of Mitt. The 4th one that he uses around Ann was suppressed, but Obama is so keen that he let Mitt cry on his shoulder. Did you see that last back slap as they left the stage? A person of power, like Obama, has the greatest capacity for kindness. Mitt-4-Witt.
