1. Confused. Is the CLAIM about raising taxes "just not true" or only the "independence" of the study?

The ad implies both, possibly, but not definitively.

It bugs me that we do these "half measures" on an ad like this.

The rethugs are going to get their undies in a bundle anyway, why not smack down on the side of truth with the hammer of Thor vs a foam bat? Are we afraid to hurt their feelings or something?

7. The ad clearly states Romney and the "independent study" are both lying...

...there is nothing implied about this ad at all - it is very direct and to the point.

Romney and the 5 billion is "dishonest" #1
Obama raising taxes on middle class per study by non-partisan group.
NOT non-partisan #2 CLEAR
It's just not true --- could be additional emphasis on #2 vs clearly stating AND it's not true that Obama will raise taxes.

I think it would have been stronger to say, Obama has no intention on raising taxes on the middle class AND the "independent study" is in no way independent. Then show the pics of the goons involved.

It's an ok ad, just isn't as strong as I'd have liked it to be.

2. Mythomaniac

The man is a Mythomaniac. He said in the debate that his sons lied to him. That's how he knows about lies. It is, simply, "It takes one to know one." They learned to lie from him. This is one of the reasons he was so attracted to choose Ryan. "Peas in a Pod"!!

6. That mania is so far apart that it has spread into several personalities. Which personality

could be on the button at that 3 am phone call? He did tell us that he consults with Ann. Perhaps she triggers his first personality, the one he wished he had with his mother.

3. This ad is clearly aimed at a specific Romney ad which we may not have seen.

That said, that Romney says in the debate that he is not in favor of a 5 Trilion tax cut is bull shit. He has been saying, from the start, that we need to give a huge tax 20% cut to the "Job Creators" so they will create jobs. Now suddenly not? WTF?

tax cut. The ad should have used one of them to drive home the point that he was out and out lying in the debate.

11. Americans are OBSESSED with taxes.

I've met some that actually believe taxes are a form of slavery.

They think they are out and out EVIL and don't wish them on their worse enemy. These type can go on and on about Wall Street but mention raising taxes on them and they say, "no way".

It's a mantra that taxes are too high.

ALWAYS too high.
