Currently it's only about our greed for their natural resources. If human rights were really a concern, we'd be interfering elsewhere. All taxes should be expended toward the welfare of of our own citizens and the development of alternative energy sources. But, NO, so far just existing day to day, is keeping many citizens from paying attention. No other nation in anyway poses a real threat. Threats to our way of life are coming from other directions. We need to get back to developing energy sources and supporting scientific exploration in that area. The grip of for profit energy over genuine advancement will need a lot of citizen awareness. So many are just involved in surviving, that we're losing any awareness, until things end up revolutionary (or updated slavery, more likely).
