Currently most all of the independent school districts in the state of Texas are in a law suit with the TEA Legislature over underfunding schools according to the Texas Constitution. Classic example of bringing down public education to dumb down the students in order to justify privatized education at public expense. Using the failure of our children to further the money movement model from public to private. Vehicle: textbooks and curriculum that is known to under educate children set up by the Conservatives in government and decision making committees. The last Commissioner of Education resigned this summer. New Texas law says that if students do not pass the TEA legislated test, then they do not receive high school credit even if their classroom average is 100. TEA Governor Rick Perry chose a new Commissioner of Education. Is the governor a member of ALEC?

You can almost forget trying to find a medical malpractice attorney to take your case in Texas and they want our med mal laws to go national! When you hear about the need for more tort reform, look who is behind it. Here it was "Citizens to Prevent Lawsuit Abuse" which had billboards everywhere, plus radio and TV. The only "Citizens" were the corporate leaders like Bob Perry of Perry Homes who controls our state house and Gov Rick Perry (no relation). Like the fall of Rome, our country is dying due to rampant corruption of both parties! The corporate interests control who gets elected and stays in office. You play ball with them or find a well financed opponent in your next election! We need complete campaign finance reform as our 1st, and last issue! All our other issues will take care of themselves once we actually have a representative government again!
