(26,044 posts)...it does nothing to counter Romney's lies (which I see as the big task the campaign needs to do, stat), and I could see some people thinking its silliness was inappropriate to the seriousness of a campaign for the most powerful position on earth. In other words -- nice enough as a diversion but, for God's sake, get some TV ads out there that seriously nail Romney for his lies!

(14,549 posts)many undecideds feel like they don't have enough information to make up their minds. These are people who tune out politics. Only big events make it through to their world. Policy and numbers are ALL lies to them. This ad connects 2 things that these cave dwellers MAY have heard about -- the Wall Street meltdown and Romney saying he wants to fire Big Bird. It makes an emotional connection for those who don't do numbers.
