I would say that's he's come to debate Paul Ryan, the Ayn Rand worshiping, social security hating ahole. I would debate against what Ryan has been saying for years and what's in his budget. Force him to defend that. I'd tell the audience he didn't come to debate Sybil, the Three Faces of Eve, the Reincarnation Of Peter Proud or whoever is now on the debate stage.

Presidents can veto but the real power here is in the Senate and House. Consequences of right and middle decisions by lawmakers has been in play when a left approach will bring America back to its greatness as in the decisions of FDR and the resulting GREAT Generation.
