owner of a cafe. It was my girlfriends business. I'd just be hanging out drinking coffee and jump into help when things got busy. The crew really appreciated that. Doing dishes was their least favorite thing and the only thing I was qualified to do to help them.

On a good night, I'd be both sweaty and a little wet by the time I was done. I'd like to see more pics. Not a chance that little puke actually did very much. Anyone involved probably resented him faking it.

...but it's not.

It speaks to a broader truth about Romney and Ryan. They are liars and posers who could care less about anyone in this country. They care about their own political careers, and they'll lie to the American people to get what they want.

These clean pots represent the Romney/Ryan tax plan that doesn't add up and will not work.

These clean pots represent the Romney/Ryan voucherization of Medicare that they try to lie about and hide.

These clean pots represent the politicized drama that Romney/Ryan have turned Benghazi into.

These clean pots represent Romney's tax returns that he refuses to release.

These clean pots represent Romney lying about his healthcare plan.

These clean posts represent Romney presenting himself as deficit hawk when he would start expensive wars and give millionaires tax cuts that would explode the deficit.

These clean pots represent all of the lies, distortions, propaganda and games that these clowns play on a daily basis.

This was a photo op and staged - pure and simple. Now if it was revealed that once a month for the last 10 years and every thanksgiving that Mr. Ryan volunteers as "Paul" (not congressman) at the localsoup kitchen/foodbank and there were no photographers taking official photos, I would say that it says he is sincere....

I have volunteered at "soup kitchens" and when the work was done, I have seen the pols come in and act like they helped; to create a photo op. It is a sickening site especially after you have worked your butt off helping others. Too bad that they"ll never know the great feeling you get by actually helping others. I always felt kind of hypocritical, I felt that I actually got more satisfaction by helping than the people we helped. When you no longer get that satisfaction, it may be time to let someone else have that glow. I have also known people who worked to help others but acted like they were better than the needy. I always felt that those people, while helpful, were "stroking their own ego" or trying to be martyrs...

Not with pols so much as with people from the wealthier side of town who think they're doing the poor a great favor by showing up and acting concerned.

I was once on kitchen duty at the homeless shelter where I worked one night, when a guest volunteer (we called our clients "guests&quot came up to me really, really upset. Apparently he overheard some of these "good people" making insulting remarks about those they were serving and a lot of these comments were heard by a lot of people.

I went straight to the volunteer coordinator of the shelter and told her point-blank that I did not want these people back. I had no time for their bullshit. They lost their weekly volunteering spot.

It didn't happen often, thank God. But when it did, I was sure to be quick to shut it down.

I was a food coordinator for our area PADS. The people with the most money donated the cheapest and crummiest food. Those that were barely getting by treated our 'guests" as if they were their personal guests...the best they could afford. It made a lasting impression on me. I also learned quickly that many were volunteering just so they could have bragging rights.

Ryan didn't really want to get his hands dirty dealing with peasants so he decided to get there late so he could just go in the back and wash a couple of already cleaned pots for the cameras.

Another out of touch greedy money hungry republican just looking somewhere, anywhere for a photo-op that's complete bullshit to pretend he's compassionate (doesn't understand what the word means, it's just not him nor in any republican) they just don't get it, nor could they truly care less about anyone else, especially people with no money.

Report: Charity President Objects To Paul Ryan’s Soup Kitchen Photo Op

Brian J. Antal, the president of an Ohio charity for the homeless, is objecting to a photo op staged by the Romney campaign on Saturday that featured vice presidential running mate Paul Ryan washing pots and pans that had already appeared to be clean, Felicia Sonmez of the Washington Post reports:

“We’re a faith-based organization; we are apolitical because the majority of our funding is from private donations,” Antal said in a phone interview Monday afternoon. “It’s strictly in our bylaws not to do it. They showed up there and they did not have permission. They got one of the volunteers to open up the doors.”

He added: “The photo-op they did wasn’t even accurate. He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.”

-snip-

“Had they asked for permission, it wouldn’t have been granted. … But I certainly wouldn’t have let him wash clean pans and then take a picture,” Antal told the Post.
