He said a lot of honest, heartfelt things-- this one in particular, about dropping your kid off at school:

"You drop your kid off and you don't see him again? Honestly? That's really life now? That's what it's going to be?" he asked.

Leno could never do this. Dave many times has gone off script and just talked to his audience and I love him for that. He was obviously shaken by the events in Newton and also frustrated. He spoke from the heart,took just a few minutes, and then went on with the show. Dave is a pro who gets better with age.
