to the Oklahoma City Zoo. A few of us were going to grab some new shots for our photography class.

She and I had been getting along well for several weeks, and we seemed to really be enjoying each others company that day.

So we went into the aviary. She looked really good in with that blond hair falling down the back, and I had snapped a few shots when I found out I wasn't the only one interested.

Apparently an eagle, high up in the cage, decided that the fake rabbit-skin coat she was wearing was too much to resist.

Now, I don't know about you, but I'm a good student, and I try to do the best I can. As that eagle tugged on her coat (she wasn't really tall, but it wasn't much bigger than a turkey, so not too big a threat, iirc). I actually got a couple of pretty good shots.

The problem came when I was trying to stop laughing so I could steady the camera. The bird managed to pull a few faux tufts out of the shoulder, but we were able to shoo it away fairly easily.

Apparently she wasn't that interested in photography, 'cause I don't think we talked much after that.

Please don't pass on video like this - fake crap that puts animals in a bad light gets them killed.

The physics in this don't hold up. An eagles lifting capacity is about 1/3 of its body weight. Golden Eagles top out around 7lbs and Imperial eagles, maybe 9 lbs. That toddler easily outweighs that bird and there is no way for that bird to lift him off the ground.

Crap like this get hawks, owls and eagles killed despite federal laws making it a crime. Please don't share it.
